About Heather
Compassionate in-home end-of-life care rooted in experience, presence,
and holistic support.
Hello, I’m Heather
I have been a registered nurse for more than sixteen years, with seven of those years dedicated to oncology and hematology care. Over time, my work naturally led me toward what I now feel most called to do: providing compassionate end-of-life care in the comfort and familiarity of home.
My approach to caregiving is deeply personal and holistic. Alongside my nursing background, I also draw from my education in sociology and psychology, my training as a certified massage therapist, and my work as a Reiki Master.
My Background
Registered Nurse with 16+ years of experience
7 years specializing in oncology and hematology
B.A. in Sociology & Psychology (2002)
Certified Massage Therapist (2006)
Reiki Master attunement (2024)
Associate Degree in Nursing, New York State (2010)
Licensed RN in Vermont and New York
Why This Work Matters to Me
My work has also been shaped by my own personal grief journey after the loss of Jonah River, my only child. That experience profoundly changed me and deepened my understanding of what compassionate support truly means.
I know how important it is to feel seen, held, and cared for during unimaginable moments. It is now my heartfelt mission to offer that same gentle and empathetic presence to others.
Inviting someone into your home during this time is deeply personal.
My goal is always to meet people with compassion, respect, calm presence, and individualized care. It’s an honor to support you and your loved ones during this tender moment in your lives. Please contact me to discuss your situation to see how I can offer support.
